Lambs Funeral Service Covid- 19 Update
During these unprecedented times we are working hard as a family business to keep up to date with current guidance regarding the ongoing pandemic of Covid-19 virus.
As a member of the Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Director’s (SAIF) we are very much following their advice as well as following government guidelines.
Today under direct advice from SAIF we made the decision that we are currently unable to hire our jaguar limousines for public use both for our own funerals or for use by other funeral directors. This is inline with current government advice regarding social distancing and people staying 2 meters apart from each other. Unfortunately this is impossible to achieve within a limousine and it is likely to be mixing different family members from different households and therefore possibly further spreading the virus. We will still be using our hearses, but drivers will be wearing protective gloves and masks.
Some local churches and crematoriums are imposing limits on the number of mourners that can attend services and these guideline are changing almost daily so for any more specific or personal advice please don’t hesitate to contact us on 0191 526 1846. I’m sure you can appreciate that we are currently undertaking most of our arrangements via telephone where possible, these decisions were not taken lightly but we have done so in order to protect our staff and the public whilst also providing the best possible care to our families during this difficult time.
